In this blog you will get to know about the most amazing facts about the 7th largest country in the world  "INDIA". It is  also known as "BHARAT" or "HINDUSTAN". It is located in South-Asia and is the 2nd largest populated country in the World. Its population is approximate 1.3 Billion (2019). Its culture has raised a particularly complex and detailed standing of Hindu biology and philosophy. It is the world's largest democracy.      So lets get started!!.👍👍 



 FACT no 1    The wettest place  on the earth ( MAWSYNRAM )


The place holds the world record of  highest rainfall on the earth, is  located in India.         
'Mawsynram'  is a town in the East Khasi Hills situated in  the state of Meghalaya,
 which receives an annual average, 11,872mm of rainfall. Its receives rainfall 
since its located in hilly areas, due to south west monsoon winds from the Bay of
Bengal branch is trapped in it  and causes heavy rainfall. 
 
                                        



 FACT no 2    The World's largest producer of spices ( INDIA )
                                  

Presently, the world's largest producer, consumer and exporter of spices is 'India'.
The 75 out of 109 varieties of spices listed by the International Organization for
Standardization (ISO) is produced in India and it accounts for half of the global 
trading in spices. The top spices produced in it includes saffron, cumin, chilly, turmeric,
cardamom, ginger, coriander, peeper and many more


 


FACT no 3    The world's longest corridor (SHRI RAMNATHASWAMY TEMPLE)


A Hindu temple dedicated to god  'SHIVA'  located on Rameswaram island in the state 
of Tamil Nadu, India. 'Shri Ramanathaswamy Temple' one of the twelve Jyotirlinga temples.
The length of corridor is approx.3850 foot and is made up of 1212 columns constructed 
from Granite. The temple was established and worshiped by God 'RAMA' before crossing
his bridge (Ram Setu) to Lanka.





 FACT no 4    The highest railway bridge in the world ( ARCH OF THE CHENAB  BRIDGE)




The bridge is being built between 'Bakkal' and 'kauri' in the Reasi district of Jammu
and Kashmir, India on river 'Chenab' a tributary of Indus river. The Chenab bridge is
 an Indian railway steel and concrete arch bridge. It will span a height of  359m (1178ft)
 above the river bed level. This project is being constructed to connect Kashmir with the rest of the 
Nation.

 






 FACT no 5    The origin  of Ayurveda and  Yoga (INDIA)


Ayurveda is an ancient health care tradition followed more than before 5000 years
ago. Ayurveda have existed from the time of the Indus Valley Civilization or even earlier.
Also the beginning of yoga was developed and followed by the Indus-Sarasvati civilization
Over 5000 years ago. The word yoga was first  mentioned  in the ancient texts and scripts
 of the, 'Rig Veda'.
  







 FACT no 6   The tallest statue in the world (THE STATUE OF UNITY) 


The tallest statue (Statue of Unity) is located in Narmada district, Gujrat, India. 
The statue depicts independence activist "Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel" the first deputy 
Prime Minister and Home Minister of independent 'India'. It was designed by   
Indian sculptor 'Ram v. Sutar' and was inaugurated by Indian Prime Minister 
Narendra Modi on 31st October 2018.






 FACT no 7    The World's first University (TAKSHILA)


The world's first University was established in Takshila from around 1000 BCE.
It is beleived that more than 20000 students from China, Babylon, Syria,
Greece in addition to Indian students studied here.  At present it is located in 
Punjab, Pakistan. The activity of thew University came to an end because of 
destrution of Toramana in the 5th Century CE.

                                    





 FACT no 8     The first country to mine Diamonds (INDIA)


From the 700 - 500 century BC, India was only the source of Diamonds in the 
 whole world till Africa found the second diamond mines. From numerous  places
across India diamonds were mined, but the most of diamond mining took place by 
placer mining in Pannar river and Krishna river in modern Andra pradesh. This area 
was the source of many legendry gems including Kohinoor, Hope diamond, Regent 
diamond, The great Mughal diamond, The Orlov diamond, etc. 





 FACT no 9    The country to give important contribution in Mathematics (INDIA)


Indian mathematics emerged in India from 1200 BC until the end of 18th Century.
The important contributions were made by the scholars like Aryabhata, Bhramhagupta, 
Bhaskar-II, Varāhamihira, etc. The important calculations and contributions like The decimal 
number system, concept of zero, value of pie, Trigonometry, Definitions of 'Sine' and 'cosine', 
Negative numbers, Quadratic equations, etc 
 





 FACT no. 10    The largest human gathering in the world (KUMB MELA)


The Hindu ceremony, celebrated every four times out of each 12-years period 
to celebrate every evolution Brihaspati completes, at four river-bank pilgrimage 
sites: Prayagraj (Ganga-Yamuna-Sarasvati), Haridwar (Ganga), Nashik (Godawari),
and Ujjain (Shipra). The Kumb Mela (2013) at Prayagraj triveni Sangam was the
largest Religious gathering with almost 120 million visitors over a two month 
period, including 30 million on a single day!!, which was visible from the Space!!.
